Kountios Georgios

Giorgos Kountios is an agriculturalist and an Assistant Professor specializing in “Agricultural Advisory using Information and Communication Technologies” at the Department of Agriculture of the International University of Greece based in Sindos. He obtained his PhD in Agricultural Economics at the School of Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Environment, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, while he holds a master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the Agricultural School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has published several research papers in international scientific journals and conference proceedings, has a presence at scientific conferences on Agricultural Advisory and new technologies in agriculture , while he, at the same time, has participated in national and European research programs. His research interests focus on agricultural advisory and education, new technologies in agriculture and in Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS). Finally, he is a member of various administrative committees of the Department and speaks fluently English and very good German.
