Koutsou Stavriani

Mrs. Stavriani Koutsou is a graduate of the Department of Agriculture of Aristotle University of Greece, Direction of Rural Economy, Planning and Sociology. She holds two postgraduate degrees (M.S.c.) from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Montpellier and the University Paul Valery (Montpellier, France) and a PhD from the University of Nanterre Paris X (Paris, France). She is a member of the Faculty of the Department of Agriculture, School of Geotechnical Sciences of the International University of Greece, specializing in Social Transformation and Collective Actions in Rural Areas. She is the director of the Research Laboratory Agricultural Economic Research and Development.
Her main research interests are the transformation of rural societies, collective actions in rural areas, social economy, agricultural cooperatives, female entrepreneurship, diffusion of innovations in the countryside. She has published a number of scientific papers in international and national scientific journals, conference proceedings and collective volumes and has participated in a number of national and international scientific conferences. She was member of the scientific committee of 22 research projects, of which she was the coordinator in five. She has been member of scientific and organizational committees of international conferences and is a reviewer in international scientific journals.
